Better outcomes start with working together.

Employment doesn’t happen in isolation. For many people living with disability, injury or illness, the path to meaningful work is supported by a whole network of caring professionals and organisations working in the same direction.

Workspace partners with health providers, disability support services, community organisations and social services across Melbourne to make sure the people who need employment support can access it easily, and with a warm introduction from someone they already trust.

OUR COMMUNITY

Who we work with.

We work alongside a broad range of organisations across Melbourne who share our commitment to supporting people toward meaningful, sustainable employment. Our community partners include:

Health and Allied Health Providers
GPs, psychologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other health professionals supporting clients with disability, injury or chronic health conditions who are ready to explore employment.

Disability support organisations
NDIS providers, support coordinators and disability advocacy services working with people who are considering or returning to work.

Community centres and neighbourhood houses
Local organisations providing social connection, community programs and grassroots support who want employment pathways available to the people they support.

Mental health services
Organisations supporting people living with mental health conditions who are building toward greater independence and community participation, including employment.

Housing and social services
Services supporting people experiencing disadvantage who recognise that stable, meaningful employment is a critical part of longer term wellbeing and recovery.

Vocational and further education providers
TAFEs, registered training organisations and adult education providers supporting students and graduates with disability, injury or health conditions who are ready to take the next step from study into sustainable employment.

Community partnership opportunities.

Workspace actively seeks deeper collaboration with community organisations across Melbourne. If you are interested in building a more formal partnership, we are open to exploring what that looks like together.

Partnership opportunities may include:

  • Joint programs that combine your organisation’s expertise with our employment services to create richer, more holistic support.
  • Shared professional development and cross-organisational training.
  • Regular connection between our teams so we can better support each other’s clients and identify opportunities for collaboration as they arise.

Every partnership is different and we approach each one with flexibility and genuine openness. If you have an idea for how we could work together, we would love to hear it.

REFERRALS

How to make a referral.

We work closely with community organisations across South-East Melbourne to make the referral process clear and efficient. Here is how it works:

01

Email our team

Send our team an email with your client’s details and goals, with their consent.

02

We make contact within two business days

Our employment consultants will reach out to your client to introduce themselves and arrange an initial conversation at a time that suits them.

03

We keep you informed

With your client’s consent, we’ll update you when they’ve been connected with a consultant, and keep you informed of key milestones throughout their employment pathway.

Let’s work together for our community.

The more connected our services are, the better the outcomes for the people who need us most. Whether you are ready to make a referral today or just want to start a conversation, the Workspace team is here.
